Our Commitment to Child Safety

At Ekagas International Pre School, child safety, dignity, and emotional wellbeing are central to everything we do. We maintain a zero-tolerance approach toward abuse, neglect, exploitation, or any form of harm.

This policy applies to all staff, volunteers, visitors, and contractors interacting with children on school premises.


Staff Screening & Professional Standards

All staff members undergo appropriate verification procedures before joining the School, including:

  • Police verification

  • Qualification verification

  • Professional reference checks

  • Child safeguarding training

  • First aid and emergency response training

Staff receive ongoing guidance on child protection responsibilities.


Mandatory Reporting (POCSO Compliance)

In accordance with the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012, all staff are mandatory reporters.

Any suspicion or disclosure of abuse must be reported to appropriate authorities without delay. The safety and protection of the child always take priority over confidentiality.


Code of Conduct

All adults interacting with children must:

  • Maintain professional boundaries

  • Avoid unsupervised enclosed interactions with children

  • Use respectful and age-appropriate language

  • Refrain from personal photography or video recording

  • Avoid any behavior that may compromise child safety


Safe Physical Environment

The School maintains a secure and child-friendly environment through:

  • Controlled access to premises

  • Visitor sign-in procedures

  • Supervised play areas

  • Regular safety inspections


Digital & Online Safety

Where technology is used, children are protected through filtered internet access and supervised digital usage.

Staff communicate with parents only through official school channels to maintain professional boundaries.


Reporting Concerns

Parents, staff, or visitors who have concerns regarding child safety are encouraged to report immediately to school leadership. All concerns will be treated seriously and confidentially.
